LOD

Design Validation Before Fabrication (LOD 300)

Early-stage constructability and coordination review focused on validating timber design intent before fabrication begins. Reduce downstream conflicts, RFIs and costly field modifications.

  • Architectural, structural, and MEP coordination review
  • Penetration, connection, and clash validation
  • Constructability-focused issue tracking and risk identification
  • Design review before timber release and fabrication approval

MEP Coordination & Erection Set of Drawings (LOD 350)

Timber elements coordinated with architectural, structural, and MEP models to support installation planning and field-ready erection workflows.

  • MEP coordination and penetration alignment
  • Erection set drawings for site installation
  • Assembly sequencing and installation planning support
  • Coordination with architects, engineers, and trade partners

As-Built Models (LOD 450)

Verified as-built models reflecting installed site conditions and closeout-ready project documentation.

  • Verified field-installed model updates
  • As-built coordination and documentation support
  • Closeout-ready deliverables for owner handover
  • Final model alignment with installed construction conditions
New to BIM/VDC?

Get the lay of the land in 10 minutes.

A short, plain-English webinar for timber & CLT contractors taking on their first coordinated project. We'll talk through what BIM/VDC actually is and what it can do for you.

What BIM & VDC actually is

No buzzwords. What a federated model is, what coordination really does, where it changes your day-to-day.

What you walk away with

Real deliverables on your first engagement: coordinated models, shop drawings, fabrication packages and field-ready layouts. Tangible stuff your crews can use.

How the first 2 weeks will look

Discovery call, scoping, kickoff, first model for coordination. Step by step, with no surprises and no software to install on your end.

Why teams pick us

Why Clients Choose New Vision.

Four things show up in every Mass Timber engagement — and four things contractors keep coming back for.

01

Manufacturing-Aware BIM

Workflows aligned with fabrication constraints, CNC requirements, erection sequencing, and production standards — with structured Means & Methods logging for workflow consistency.

02

Embedded BIM/VDC Support

Integrated into your standards, workflows, and coordination process — not bolted on as a vendor at arm's length.

03

Clear & Direct Communication

No outside-vendor friction. No translation layer. Weekly reporting and live progress tracking — you always know what's coming next.

04

Quality-Controlled Deliverables

Structured QA/QC workflows before model, drawing, and CNC data release — supported by custom automation tools that keep every deliverable consistent.

FAQ

Common questions.

We already have a fabrication workflow. Can you work with it?
Absolutely. We have our own standards and templates, but we adapt to your fabrication process, software, CNC requirements and production standards.
Can you join coordination meetings and work directly with the project team?
Yes. We have extensive experience working directly with project teams, GCs, engineers and other trades, joining coordination meetings and adapting to your existing workflow.
How much management will my team need to provide?
We work as an extension of your team. A dedicated project manager coordinates our work and keeps you updated, while you can communicate directly with our team members, all fluent in English, whenever needed.
Can you support just one phase of the project, or do you need to handle the full scope?
Both. We understand the full mass timber workflow from design through fabrication and installation, so we can support the entire process or just one part. Even if you only need drafting, you get a team that understands what they are drawing, how it will be fabricated and how it comes together in the field.
Can we start with a small project or trial scope?
Absolutely. We are big fans of starting with a mockup to align on your standards, fabrication requirements and expectations before moving into a larger scope or full project.
How do you make sure the model is ready for fabrication?
We model based on the latest project documents, your company standards and fabrication requirements. Our team understands CNC and how cuts, holes, connections and other details translate into production, helping catch issues before they reach the shop.
